Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.

If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. While Reiki is not a religion, practitioners do believe it is important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others.

A treatment feels like a glowing radiance that flows through you.  Sometimes you have vivid daydreams or feel tingling in areas that are being worked on.  It can be helpful for anxiety, PTSD, grief, depression, pain, and many other issues.  Our Reiki practitioner is also a nurse so she is highly compassionate in nature and very comfortable working with mental and physical health issues.
