Your First Appointment

Book your first appointment online, or if you’d prefer, contact us at kat@acunirvana.com or give us a call at (518) 409-6993, and we’ll help you schedule your appointment.

Make sure to bring your reading glasses (if you need them) and your insurance card. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and a tank top or sports bra if you want your back worked on. We recommend wearing shorts if you tend to run hot, as we keep the space warm.  If you are sensitive to heat, please let us know so we can adjust this.  We will have quiet, relaxing music playing, so if you are very sensitive to sound and this will bother you, let us know so we can turn it off.  We have treatment rooms on the first and second floors, but the majority are on the second floor.  If you are requesting a first floor treatment room, please let us know before your appointment so we can be sure to reserve the room for you.

We will have some paperwork for you to fill out, but you don’t need to come early.

When you come in for your first appointment, check in at the front desk. The receptionist will need to make a photocopy of your insurance card, and will give you some paperwork to fill out. Once you are done, we will talk to you about your health goals and will answer any questions you have before starting your treatment. You will then relax on a massage table in a private room while quiet music plays, and we will treat you. If at any point during your treatment you feel uncomfortable, please call us (we have call bells in each room) and we will come straight away. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
